We are happy to invite you to peruse our website to learn about the Almost Home family. Almost Home Child Care has been in Ridgefield, CT for 23 years and we are excited to extend our child care brand to Wallingford,CT offering high quality preschool and childcare for children in Wallingford, Meriden, Cheshire, North Haven and Hamden area.

Almost Home is a family owned daycare center that understands the art of successful early childhood education. The entire staff knows and respects the importance of parent partnerships and communication. We work together to make sure every child in our care obtains personal success.Our staff has highly educated teachers that have dedicated their life to quality early childhood education. Through continuing education workshops and on the job training, we make sure we stay up to date with our curriculum and best practices to follow.

Almost Home goes beyond just daycare. We offer programs for infants, toddlers, preschool, before and after school care and summer camp. Parent partnerships are one of our top priorities. We accept flexible full time, part time and drop in care to accommodate everyone’s schedule. We only hire highly trained teachers that focus on nurturing each child to reach developmental milestones while ensuring they become confident, joyful and fully prepared students. Almost Home Nursery School and daycare classrooms also feature diverse learning programs that foster creative movement, cognitive development, world cultures, manners and social skills that make our curriculum one of the best in the area.
